2007 Manistique Salmon Derby Details

Guaranteed first prize for salmon: $3,000

Guaranteed first prize for trout: $2,000

2nd through 8th place prizes, in both categories, salmon and trout, dependent on entry registration receipts. 90% prizes payback of registration fees. Over $20,000 in prizes, based on 2006 entry level.

Daily prize of $300 for the largest fish of the day, salmon or trout

Daily prize of $200 for the second largest fish of the day, salmon or trout

Daily prize of $100 for the third largest fish of the day, salmon or trout

(All pre-derby contestant boats and all on-board personnel must be registered for the Manistique Fishing Derby.)

Derby entry ticket price: $25, per person

Prizes are based on the greatest weight, first, and, in case of a tie, length, of any indigenous salmon or trout caught in Lake Michigan during current Derby fishing hours, by any registered contestant with a legitimate entry ticket, fishing from a registered boat.

Numerous "door prizes" during Derby. Registrants must be present to win and collect prizes.

Each paid entrant is entitled to only one prize in each division

The Manistique boat ramp facilities are located off the first southbound street, traders Point Drive, after the western end of the US-2 bridge in Manistique.
